Note: Things in red need to be added and made links!

The rules of Immer Treu are not debatable. By signing up for Immer Treu, you have agreed to abide by our rules and terms of service. If you did not read them, a short ban will be placed on your account.

This site is strictly PG-13. If you are under the age of thirteen, you must have parental consent to sign up.

If you need help with anything while on the chat, click "Report" under your chat bar. This will bring up a list of online administrators, who are there to help you. We ask that you report any rule-breaking this way, or if there are no administrators available, send them a message here. If you are experiencing a problem like a bug or want to appeal a ban, send a problem ticket to an alpha, and a response will be sent to your primary e-mail address. *Please remember to save the conversation, date, time, and room name when you report another user to the administration.

The Rules

1.) Harassment
General harassment will not be tolerated. Repeatedly annoying someone, stalking someone around the chat or forums, begging for art or deltas, trolling or deliberately upsetting people, racial slurs, gay bashing, and name calling all fall under the category of harassment.
Administrator harassment
Administrators ("admins" for short) do a lot of work with no pay, and so harassing an admin is a serious offense. Falsifying reports to the admins, asking the Art Review Team to review your poses or rooms, yelling at an admin for banning you or your friends, telling an admin they are bad at their job, and calling an admin to a room for no reason are all forms of Admin Harassment.

2.) Spam
Spam, which often causes lag, will not be tolerated. Some forms of spam include using constant capital letters, filling up the chat with nonsense (flooding), clicking around the room too frequently, changing poses constantly, talking only to yourself, and repeatedly typing song lyrics.

3.) Threats
Homicide, suicide, hacker, and computer virus threats will get you banned from Immer Treu instantly and permanently. Do not discuss any of these topics in public or private rooms.

4.) Language
Certain swears are not acceptable, and we will not allow any swearing at other users, or name-calling. Having sexual discussions in public rooms is cause for an instant ban, the length of which depends on the severity of the offense. We also will not tolerate discussion of illegal drugs or activities.

5.) Propositioning Minors

This includes but is not limited to:

Offering minors drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, sex, cybering, yiffing - this includes role play.

Important Information Regarding Propositions to a Minor:

(1) If you proposition a minor to participate in any illegal activity, you will be permanently banned from all Chatlands sites, not just this one. Instances of propositioning minors will be reported to the appropriate Internet Service Provider (ISP) and/or legal authority.

(2) As a reminder: by your act of participating in Immer Treu, you have already agreed to abide by our rules and you have already agreed to our terms of use. Any evidence of unlawful acts taking place on Immer Treu will be turned over to the appropriate ISP as well as possible law enforcement.

(3) If we have a reasonable suspicion that any involvement with a minor is unethical in our sole judgment, WE WILL BAN YOU, without warning, even if this situation occurs in a "role play" or "pretend" atmosphere.

Please Remember: The Immer Treu administration cannot be everywhere at once, so it is up to YOU, as a user, to report any suspicious activity to the Immer Treu administration team quickly. We will follow up all allegations as soon as we can, and we will take necessary and appropriate action as required.

Important note: If an incident happens outside of Immer Treu, on systems over which Immer Treu admins, and/or wunderwood LLC, have no control (for example: if the users are communicating via instant messengers such as MSN, AIM, YIM, or perhaps via an email messages on hotmail.com, gmail.com, etc), we aren't able to help. If you are a child and you have a problem, WE STRONGLY ADVISE that that you notify your parents or other responsible adult and get their help. They should contact those responsible for the service (such as AOL for AIM messenges, Microsoft for hotmail.com type emails, Google for gmail.com type emails, etc). Be sure to save all information and any history of the problem, as this will help the authorities as they work to solve this problem.

As always, WE STRONGLY ADVISE everyone: do not give out personal contact information such as phone numbers, street address, real life names or the name of your school, any information that helps someone else you met online locate you in real life. No exceptions.

6.) Mini-modding
Taking the responsibilities of the administration into your own hands is not permitted. Commonly referred to as "mini-modding", this only gets everyone involved riled up. By minimodding, you are undermining the administrators and reducing the importance of official warnings. If you see someone breaking the rules, please just report it and Ignore the user.

7.) Chat Advertisement
We ask that you do not advertise or link to other Chatlands sites in public rooms. When you come to Immer Treu, you do so for the enjoyment of our site. Linking to other sites has also been the cause of site-bashing, which we won't accept. If you wish to show your friends another chat, whisper them or take it to a private room.

8.) Trolling on Other Chatlands™ Sites
Trolling on any Chatlands™ site will be cause for an instant ban from all sites for a period of at least one week. To troll means to come here with the specific intent to cause trouble

9.) Role Play
Immer Treu allows role play, but only in specific rooms. These rooms will have "RP" in the title. Please keep all conversations about mates and packs or clans in the role play rooms. You are not allowed to enter any non-rp room and recruit for your pack/clan or ask for a mate. Also, remember that you can't make anyone role play with you. This site was intended for chatting, and if someone in a RP room wants only to chat, you can't make them join or leave.

10.) Multiple Accounts
We do not allow one user to have more than one account in a public room at a time. It takes up space and it is unnecessary. If we discover that you are using more than one account in a room, at least one of your accounts will be removed by an administrator.

11.) Art theft
To commit Art Theft means to take someone else’s art (be it a drawing, a pose, a room, a photograph, etc.) and trace it or use it without the original artist’s permission. This is a serious offense. When uploading a pose or a room, you must state who made it and give us a link to a site or a screenshot that proves you have permission to use it.

Private Rooms
In private rooms, the room owner is the alpha. Immer Treu admins do not have control. If someone in a private room is bothering you, you must put them on ignore, ask the room owner to kick them out, or leave the room yourself. However, if someone in a private room breaks rules 3 or 5, report it to an administrator immediately. *Private rooms can be rated G - X. Sometimes certain ages are restricted and room passwords are required.

Other Languages
Speaking languages other than English on Immer Treu is perfectly okay. However, we would like to remind you that most of our users only know English. Also, we expect you to follow all of Immer Treu's rules while in public rooms, English or not. If you are speaking another language for no specific purpose (like talking to yourself) it can be considered spam and you may receive a warning for it.

Responsibility and Consequences
As soon as you become a member of Immer Treu, you have agreed to follow all of our rules and terms of service. If you do not follow them, whether or not you read them, you are subject to punishment. If someone else manages to get onto your account and break the rules, you will be held responsible. Punishments can be as simple as a warning, to something like being removed from a room, to something as severe as a ban. Bans may be as short as twelve hours or as long as forever. If you are banned and somehow log into Immer Treu on a different name, your original ban length will be increased and your new account will be banned as well.

If you have any questions or feedback regarding these rules, contact a member of our administration. An updated list is kept here.

FORUM RULES

Read before posting.

By signing up for Immer Treu's forums, you have agreed to follow the forum rules listed below. If someone else somehow accesses your account and breaks the rules, you will be held responsible. These rules are subject to change.

1.) Keep the forums PG-13. This means minimal cussing, no nudity, no discussion of illegal drugs or activities, and no serious threats.

2.) Bashing of race, gender, religion, or sexuality is not tolerated at all.

3.) Spamming, flaming, or downright nasty behavior will be removed.

4.) Do not post in old or dead topics. Doing this bumps them up to the top of the list, which is annoying and confusing to others, and doing this multiple times is considered spam. Always check the date before posting, and if a topic has been dead for over a month, do not revive it. The exceptions to this rule are stickied official IT threads.

5.) Do not double-post, or post multiple times in a row in one topic. The two exceptions to this rule are posting updates and bumping your thread from the second page of a forum.
Things to remember about bumping:
- You may not bump someone else's topic just so that person sees what you had to say.
- You may not bump a topic more than once a day.
- You may not bump a topic that is already on the first page.

6.) Keep all posts on-topic. If someone has started a thread on endangered animals, do not discuss any irrelevant subject in that thread.

7.) Discussions of bans or warnings are not allowed on the Immer Treu forums. Contact an administrator directly if you have questions or concerns about a ban.

If you have any trouble with the forums, you can contact a forum moderator.

Immer Treu Role Play Rules and Guidelines

1.) Please keep role playing in public rooms and forums PG-13. All site rules apply.

2.) Public room role playing is to be kept to the designated Role Play Rooms, which will be labeled as such.
Please Note: This includes asking for 'mates' or talking about 'packs'.

3.) Not everyone wants to role play with you. If you are in a Role Play Room and someone else is in there just to chat, you cannot make them join in.

4.) You may not use your poses suggestively in public rooms to role play.

5.) Forum role play rules are up to the topic owner. You cannot change the rules of someone else's thread.

Remember that in private rooms, Immer Treu administration has no say on what goes on unless it breaks the rules here: (add link to Site Rules) If you have a problem with someone or the way they are role playing, you must take it up with the room owner or put that person on your Ignore list.

ART RULES

When submitting art to Immer Treu, whether it is poses or rooms, you are telling us that you have permission to use that art. If you upload a stolen image your punishment is solely up to the administration, and the Art Staff has the right to reject any pose they deem inappropriate.

Important things to remember:
    - Do not ask the art staff to look at your poses or rooms. They will get to it ASAP, but rushing them won't help.
    - It is perfectly acceptable to contact an ART member and ask them why your pose was rejected or why it has taken a long time to accept, but do not flame the staff.
    - All poses must follow the rules listed below. If they do not, your pose will be rejected.

*On Immer Treu any species is allowed, but our theme is endangered animals. All our default sets are comprised of endangered and/or threatened species and are not allowed to be uploaded on any other site.

Uploading Requirements
1.) When uploading a pose, please make sure you provide proof of permission. For example, if you upload a custom pose, you should link to the forum where it was posted by the artist or get a screenshot of the artist saying that the pose belongs to you and that you have permission to upload it.
2.) Make sure your pose is the correct size. We don’t want squirrels to be bear-sized.
3.) There is no grayscaling rule for Immer Treu. Though we prefer some sort of shading, it is not required. This allows for fun, silly poses. The only exception is poses that are all black, as they will be too hard to see in some of the darker rooms.
4.) Your pose must have a transparent background, and the background must be cropped reasonably close to your pose.
5.) Make sure your pose does not have loose pixels. This means there cannot be any random splotches of color outside the outline.
6.) Outlines are not required, but if you have one for your pose, it must be solid and clear. We do not accept poses with broken outlines or multicolored outlines. It has to be obvious if it's there, or not there are all.
7.) Your pose has to be mirrored properly. The staff cannot and will not alter your pose in any way for you other than changing the category.

Adult Poses are not acceptable but:
- Quad (or feral/wild) poses can have sheathes.
- Anthro poses may not have any kind of genitalia.
- Mild gore is allowed, but it's on a case-by-case basis.

There are only two requirements for AFK poses:
"AFK" must be written somewhere on the pose, and it must have some sort of animal body part in it if the main focus is an inanimate object (like a rock) to show that there is an animal interacting with it somehow. We allow gag poses, which are inanimate objects, but all AFK poses must have animals in them.

The Dress Code

Because humans are often viewed as different from other animals, there are a few rules we've set up to prevent people from becoming offended by certain human poses.

Skimpy Clothing:
- This site is PG-13. We allow all sorts of clothing that cover the necessary areas, but your pose may be rejected if the administrators decide it is too provocative.

Camouflage Clothes:
- Partially camo clothing is permitted, but because this site is all about endangered animals, we do not allow any kind of hunting poses, which includes hunter camo.

Fur Clothing
- Once again, because this site is all about endangered animals, we don't allow users to have humans wearing fur clothing. The only exception to this rule is Native American poses.

Weapons:
- Guns are not allowed, and poses where weapons are aimed at other users will not be accepted.

* It is the sole discretion of the art staff to determine what is acceptable regarding poses and rooms submitted to Immer Treu. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the ART.

Current ART Members:
Wasabi
Greave
Voidrae

Trainees:
Satosha

(split from first post)

FAQ

What is Immer Treu?

Immer Treu is a 2D graphical avatar chat. That means that, unlike with a text-only chat (think AOL™ chatrooms), there's a unique visual element: you control a small drawing of your character (called "avatar") on a background scene such as a forest, a meadow or a castle room. You can interact with other online users by chatting and changing "poses" to make your character do different actions and express your mood. Your avatar can be any animal species, including humans, and it can be sleeping, sitting, walking, pouncing, and more. Your speech will appear in an on-screen text log as well as in a small speech bubble above your avatar's head. You can use the chat directly from your web browser, and you do not have to download any program. This is a place to hang out, have fun, meet new people, and chill with friends.

Cool! So how much does this cost?

You can use Immer Treu for free, but but if you want to get access to custom poses, or have a personal chatroom on the site, you will want to purchase Chatlands Deltas and use them to buy a subscription, as described in the chart at the bottom of this page. We still have free accounts, of course. If you want to hang out here for free, you still can.

Sign me up! Wait, how?

Fill out an application here. By signing up for Immer Treu you agree to be subject to rules of conduct and terms of use.

I registered, and there's so many buttons! How do I use this thing?

Look here for the Basic Immer Treu Tutorial and that should be enough to get you started. If you have any further questions, you can try asking other users you see in the chat, or call on a member of our Administration or visit the Immer Treu forum.

What are the rules? What happens if I break them? What is this chat rated?

Our rules are written in detail here: The Rules of Immer Treu, and they describe what the acceptable behavior for Immer Treu is and what can happen when you ignore that. In brief, we consider ourselves a PG-13 chat; so basically if it's not on "The Simpsons" it's not okay to do in the public rooms. Temporary private rooms are available to all members, but the private room ratings range from "G" to "X" and they are controlled by the private room owner.

Along with the rules of conduct for this site, in order to participate you must also agree to abide by our Terms of Use. By making use of the services on this website you agree to the terms of service described in this document.

We want everyone to have fun and be safe, and these rules are in place to help make that happen. Not following these rules can result in a kick (being "chased" from the chat, logged out), or a ban - which could be a few days or permanent, depending on the offense and how many strikes you've got. We have a very low tolerance for troublemakers, so just don't do it.

Who do I ask for help in using the chat or when someone is bothering me?

First off, if someone is bothering you, ignore them. Literally. On Immer Treu, there is an ignore feature, and that should always be your first line of defense if someone is bothering you. You can ignore them and they will *disappear* from your chat window (and you will also disappear from theirs). It will look to them as though you have signed off the chat. Other users in the room can still see you and still see the person you are ignoring. To ignore someone, either click on their avatar and select "ignore" or type "!ignore {username}" in the text box when you're in a room ({username} is their Immer Treu name).

Our Administration is here to help you: whether that means answering a simple question, or protecting your chat experience. The Admins have the ability to give official answers to questions, as well as kick and ban troublemakers from the chat - they are Immer Treu's police. If you see a rule being broken, please report it to us. If someone is bothering you, remember that you have to ask them to stop before it counts as harassment. Please keep a copy of your scroll log to show us as a record of the event. Never hesitate to ask for help if you don't feel right about a situation.

How to contact an Admin: When you first log in and see the map screen, to the upper right hand corner is a list of the online Administrators. If you then look in The Mysts, you will see the names of Administrators in italic and either red (Betas), blue (Gammas), or fuscia (Alphas). For minor problems contact a Gamma and for more serious problems contact a Beta. You can "call" them from the room you're in and they'll come to assist or you can go to them. (Note: "Problem Tickets" are available but we prefer that these be used to report technical problems when there are no Admins online.)

Just like the Alpha of a real wolf pack, Underdog is the lead Alpha (α) of Immer Treu, and he is ultimately in charge of the chat. He has three other Alphas to assist with the managing of Immer Treu. There are also Betas (ß) and Gammas (Γ) in our Administration Team, and they patrol the chat and manage the different aspects of making Immer Treu work. This symbol (Δ) is for Delta and signifies a regular chat member. A lot of members have been around for a while and may be able to answer basic questions. These symbols only appear on our forums by default, but you can see them on the chat too. Set the checkbox for "show ranks" in your Immer Treu profile.

How do I get to be an Administrator?

Number one, don't ask us for it. It just happens. If you're helpful, friendly, and follow the rules, you're bound to be noticed by the Administration eventually. We promote members when we need more hands on deck, and we're the ones who decide when and who that is.

Can I role-play (RP) here?

RP is when people pretend to have clans, packs, mates, families, battles, and so forth. This site was meant for chatting, not for role-playing. But, we do understand that a lot of people are interested in RP, so we have a designated area where you can do it freely and meet other people interested in the same thing. There are currently three rooms designated specifically for RP. Please keep roleplay in those rooms or in private rooms with the room owner's permission. If we catch you RPing in other public rooms, you will be asked to go to the RP areas. We want to have a place for people that want to role-play, but the main Immer Treu site isn't intended for RP.

Why can't I get into the chat?

This could be for a number of reasons. Make sure you have the most up to date version of Flash, which you can find here: Adobe Flash website. If you have some kind of firewall installed, (most schools and some business networks have this sort of protection), then that could be blocking Immer Treu. Also, try clearing out your cache and cookies through your browser's internet options. Currently, the chat works best in Internet Explorer 7 and pretty well in Firefox as well as some other browsers. If none of this helps, go to here: The Technical Support Forum for help.

Can I submit my own art for my character?

Yes! Look here for our Art FAQ!

I found a bug (something that doesn't work). What should I do?

Tell us! We need your help in order to find all of the bugs and problems with Immer Treu so that Underdog can fix them. Read this: How To Report Bugs and follow the instructions to post in our techie support forum.

I may want to speak with an administrator before registering, or I may have a question that's not explained here. Or maybe I have some feedback for you.

If you'd like to contact an Admin before registering, please e-mail your questions to underdog-wolfhome@fantasy3d.com. If you have a question that isn't answered here, contact an Admin on the chat or use the Forum.

If you have feedback for us, we'd love to hear from you about how we're doing, or take suggestions for new features. We need your help to make this the best chat that it can be! All we ask is that you give your thoughts politely and respectfully, even if it's criticism. You can post in our Suggestions Forum section, you can email Underdog, or you can speak with any available Administrator about your ideas or opinions.

Where can I find out more about Chatlands Deltas?

Check out the Chatlands Deltas FAQ to learn about the currency used on Immer Treu.

Where can I find out about the different subscription levels and what they allow?

Check out this chart. It shows you the different subscriptions and how much they cost per day in Deltas. Chatlands Deltas (Δ) are the unit of currency on Immer Treu. There is more information about what you get at each of the subscription levels on this page.
